Are you a female cellist?

Thanks for dropping by. If you've been keeping track, we WERE looking for a drummer. Time passed by and for whatever reason, the right drummer wasn't found. So, in order to keep the music in motion, I decided to play the drums.

After completing ShadOwplay's Greatest Hits part one, with real drums! I was faced with a problem- both the bass player and the drummer sounded like Zam! I liked the music but it would be impossible to reproduce that sound with a 3-piece live. What do I do? Since this band has always been hardest on the drummer, I decided to take that job. What about the Zam-sounding bass? I felt it would be best not to duplicate, but to expand. Therefore, change the instrument to cello.

What an experiment! Why female? André the black man, Zam the tranny freak... female cellist.

Here's an excerpt from an ad I put up at a local university- "I would like to experiment with a cellist to cover the position of bass player in the band. You will carry the bass parts with your cello and occasionally pick up the electric bass for compositions/improvisations unsuitable for cello. Must have good ear, and be a good soloist as well as having solid meter."

I have nothing to offer but the music... can't really do anything until the music is settled, can we? Once that is done then we can look ahead. E-mail Azura in order to communicate with me and thank you fer you friendship.

yours, Zam.
